The Power of 2FA
March 29, 2021
I really miss the days of muscle cars. At the risk of revealing a security question, my first car was a 1970 Dodge Challenger with a 340 4-barrel V-8 and a Hurst short and close pistol grip shifter. It even had a real key to start the engine instead of the wireless Intellikey that powers my current vehicle. The old days were much simpler when you could actually hot wire a vehicle, but I digress. Engadget posted that Dodge has implemented 2FA for its Challenger and Charger muscle cars.
If you intend to move the muscle car faster than at an idle speed, you’ll need to enter a four-digit PIN to release the full horsepower of the HEMI V-8 engine. We’ve always said that you should enable 2FA whenever available. We would suggest using a PIN other than 1234 or 1111 for your powerful Dodge muscle car.
