Where in the World Can You Find Sharon and John at ABA TECHSHOW?

February 24, 2020

We are asked this question a lot – and thanks to all those who have expressed an interest via email in meeting up. Sometimes, it is easier for folks to know where we will be so they can locate us. My business partner and husband, John Simek, has received a lot of emails too, so here is our schedule for those who want to find us at ABA TECHSHOW this week.

Thursday, February 27

7:30 John and I are hosting a breakfast cybersecurity/privacy meetup table in the Expo Hall

8:30-10:00 John and I are working the conference Concierge Desk (don't forget to sign up for your Taste of TECHSHOW dinners there)

12:00 – I am hosting a table (#15) at the Women of Legal Tech roundtable Rebels Riot Luncheon sponsored by PwC. The topic is how we enable lawyers to deliver more legal services online. John has promised to be my wingman. Grand Ballroom E/F.

Friday, February 28

8:30-9:30 – I will be presenting The Intersection of Ethics and Well-Being with Jenny Gerstenzang (Columbus C/D)

8:30-9:30 – John and Lincoln Mead will be presenting Bad Actors: The Year in Breaches (Columbus I/J)

10:30-11:30 I will be presenting Red Pill vs Blue Pill: How Deepfakes are Defining Digital Reality with Lincoln Mead (Columbus I/J)

1:15 – I will be recording a podcast on our deepfakes session with Lincoln for Legal Talk Network (on the Expo Floor).

4:15-5:15 John will be presenting Of PEN Tests and Policies: Firm Security Audits with Maria Phillips (Columbus I/J)

Saturday, February 29

7:30 John and I are hosting a breakfast cybersecurity/privacy meetup table in the Columbus Hall

As ever, we look forward to learning a lot from the educational sessions and enjoying the camaraderie of the ABA TECHSHOW attendees. And I can't conclude without a special shout-out to the entire ABA TECHSHOW Board – they work hard all year to make this a wonderful conference. A special shout-out to our friends Catherine Sanders-Reach and Heidi Alexander, who have so ably served as the co-chairs. John and I, as former chairs ourselves, look forward to welcoming both of you to the "Black Ribbon Club" on Saturday night!
