Kansas Man Arrested, Charged with Over 150 Counts of Child Porn, Sentenced to Probation

Sarah Motter, of WIBW News, recently published an article on February 23, 2022 about a man from Kansas charged with over 150 counts of child pornography.

Leland Taylor, 72, had been in the hospital recovering from injuries suffered in a serious car crash when Taylor’s son and his girlfriend were cleaning his house. They came across a flash drive connected to Taylor’s laptop that had child pornography on it and immediately called the Kansas Bureau of investigation and Chase County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities found over 150 instances of child pornography and arrested Taylor, who was later sentenced to two years of probation along with a prison term of one year with lifetime post release supervision.

During court proceedings, Leland Taylor pled no contest to attempted child sexual exploitation on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
