Pennsylvania Man Sentenced for Creating Voyeur Videos
March 10, 2022
A recent article on mychesco.com reported on the sentencing of Andrew Machalette of Lansdale PA. Machalette was accused and later pled guilty to secretly videotaping women and girls in the family home he shared with his wife and children.
The investigation began when Machalette’s wife became suspicious of his activities and turned over three flash drives to the East Vincent Township Police. The drives were then provided to detectives at the Chester County Computer Forensic Unit who examined them and found a number of videos of women and girls in various states of undress. Investigators were able to determine a camera in the home’s guest room had been configured to record using motion activation. Mahalette used the camera to secretly capture videos of eight people in total, six women and two minor girls, both partially and completely nude.
When confronted with the evidence Machalette eventually pled guilty to multiple counts of invasion of privacy and child pornography. His sentence includes two and half to ten years in prison and six years of probation.
