USB-C Charges Are a Huge Hit

January 2, 2019

Are we finally at a point where electronic devices have standardized connections? Not quite, but we’re getting close. More and more devices are being equipped with USB-C connectors. That’s the new connector that can’t be inserted upside down. Besides being used for data transfer, a USB-C connector can be used to charge the device. In fact, they can provide enough juice to power up a laptop. The good news is that we will only need one charger to charge all of our electronic equipment, particularly phones and laptops. Even Apple may be waking up since the new 2018 iPad Pro has USB-C instead of the Lightning connector. Perhaps next year will see the entire iPad line adopt USB-C.

Cnet posted information about various choices for USB-C charges and power sources. Check it out.
