The Deep, Dark Web
September 24, 2018
So which is it? Deep, dark or something in between? We have given many presentations concerning parts of the internet that are not normally visible to the common man. The numbers vary, but the general consensus is that only about 4% of the internet is visible using normal search techniques such as Google or Bing. At the end of the day, it's all about what you can search for. The web is a large area of information and the vast majority is not accessible without some sort of extra work. The Tor (The Onion Router) network requires a special browser and is generally known as the Dark Web. You shouldn't just jump on the Dark Web without taking some extra precautions to preserve your identity. While the Dark Web sounds like a sexy place, it's not for the faint of heart.
