Microsoft Ticks Off Users by Pushing Usage of Edge

September 17, 2018

Talk about blowback. Windows 10 users are now being "encouraged" to use the Edge browser instead of other third party browsers such as Chrome or Firefox. Let there be no mistake. Edge is an improvement over Internet Explorer. Chrome is used by nearly 60% of users worldwide. Apparently, if you are a testing the next release of Windows 10 and try to install Chrome or Firefox, you are presented with a warning stating "You already have Microsoft Edge – the safer, faster browser for Windows 10." The prompt gives you two options…"Open Microsoft Edge" and "Install anyway." The implication is that installing Chrome or Firefox is unsafe. What a bunch of horse hockey. Rumors are that the warning prompt will not be there when the update is actually released. Let's hope so.
