Employee Cyber Education Sucks

June 12, 2018

Report after report identifies that the human being is the weakest link in security. A new report from OpenVPN confirms that employees may be the company's greatest asset, but they are also the greatest cybersecurity risk. According to the report, even though many businesses are increasing employee cybersecurity training, 25% of the 500 US employees surveyed report that they use the same password for every account. But wait, it gets worse. Of the employees that use the same password for everything, a whopping 81% said they do not password protect their computer or phone at all. With employee practices like that, it is no wonder we seem to hear constantly about data breaches.
