Dropbox to Integrate with G Suite

March 5, 2018

Dropbox was one of the first cloud storage providers and got its foot in the door before all the others. Since then, many other cloud providers have appeared and began pulling business away from Dropbox. Apparently, Dropbox is seeing the competition as a time to partner with other cloud providers. Dropbox has already announced a partnership with Microsoft Office to provide collaboration and robust document-creation features. Now, Dropbox has announced that it will also integrate with Google's G Suite. That means users will be able to create Google Docs, Sheets and Slides files directly within Dropbox. It is unclear how the integration will actually work, but it will probably be similar to how it works with Office. Your Dropbox storage is linked to your Office account so you can store your files in One Drive or Dropbox. The G Suite integration will probably provide the same type of linkage to Dropbox storage in addition to Google Drive.
