Compare Documents Using Microsoft Word

January 17, 2018

Don't want to spend money on a document compare utility? Use the native capability of Word to compare documents. How do you do that? How-To Geek has a post that describes the steps to use Word's native ability to compare changes in documents. Basically, you open a document and select the Review tab. A lot of folks would recognize the Review tab as a place to engage the "Track Changes" function of Word. Instead of shelling out money for products that do document comparison, perhaps using the built-in feature of Word is good enough. All too often we simply need to use the features of software we already own.
