Google Expands to Allow Payment with any Card on File

May 18, 2017

There is fierce competition for the mobile pay space. Apple Pay has 86 million users and Android Pay has only 24 million users. Google wants to change that (who wouldn't?). Previously, you had to preload a payment method in Android Pay. Not anymore. You can now choose from any payment card you've previously used with your Google Account. You can use any card that you have previously used in the Play Store, Google Store, YouTube or stored in the Chrome browser. Frankly, I try not to store any credit card information in any app or website, but I can see why you would want this type of flexibility instead of pulling a card out of your wallet.
