FedEx Encourages Unsafe Computing with $5 Bribe

March 28, 2017

FedEx is heading for a public relations disaster if it continues with the current practice of encouraging users to install and use Flash on their computers. FedEx is offering $5 for users to install Flash in their browsers for users of FedEx Office Print. FedEx Office Print requires Adobe's Flash to complete the user experience. Bad, bad, bad. Flash has been known as a security vulnerability for years. So much so that Chrome 56 will no longer load Flash unless a user specifically accepts the risk. FedEx needs to update the code so that Flash is no longer required. I'm really getting tired of websites that continue to require Flash. I look for alternative sites unless I don't have a choice.
