Another Tool to Prevent Ransomware Infection

April 5, 2016

The carbon-based units (humans) are the largest risk for ransomware infection. You can train and train, but some idiot is still going to click on a link or open an attachment that delivers a ransomware infection. There are a lot of technical solutions that you could implement, but none are 100% effective. Bitdefender's free tool protects against TeslaCrypt, Locky and CTB-Locker infections. I'm sure there will be many more blog posts dealing with ransomware as newer and newer infections are discovered. Let's just hope that the carbon-based units get a little smarter this coming year.
