Marshmallow: The Next Version of Android

Google announced that the next version of its Android operating system will be called Marshmallow. M&M fans are pretty bummed out about that. As is tradition, Google erected a new statue in the lawn of its Mountain View headquarters to represent the new OS. The SDK is available to developers and Marshmallow will be declared as version 6.0. Perhaps Marshmallow will give Google the opportunity to fix how it distributes updates. Google is slower to get updates distributed to devices since the carriers test to see if there is any impact to the carrier-installed apps.
