iPhone Not Secure? Say It’s Not True.

January 22, 2015

According to Edward Snowden’s lawyer, Snowden will not use an iPhone because of security issues. Snowden claims that the iPhone has software that is able to collect personal information about the owner without the owner’s knowledge. I don’t know if the famous whistleblower is right about the iPhone “feature,” but I do know that the iPhone is an evidence gold mine. From our forensic examinations, the iPhone holds much, much more information than any other smartphone. That’s why we do a little “happy dance” when we get an iPhone in our lab. We know there will be a lot of electronic evidence that Apple has conveniently saved to the device.
