Consumer Reports: Your COVID-19 Travel Toolkit
October 7, 2020
This October 1 article from Consumer Reports is an invaluable resource. There is no doubt that travel increases the likelihood of getting – and spreading COVID-19. Folks are traveling more – for business, to visit family – there are many reasons why people are choosing (or commanded) to travel. As I write, one of my own employees is flying to Missouri because of a cybersecurity incident. It made me think that I really needed to blog about this article.
Clearly, all travelers need to practice basic safety strategies, such as wearing a mask, maintaining physical distance, sanitizing frequently touched surfaces, and washing their hands often and well.
This article is a compendium of tips covering the following:
- Air Travel
- Trains
- Buses
- Rental Cars/Taxis/Uber and Lyft
- Avoiding Penalties When Travel Plans Change
As I read the article, there was a lot that I knew. But there were things I did not know – and lot of great tips. This is an article to file for reference whenever you need to travel. Wishing everyone safe travels . . .
