A New Feature for Google Drive
April 10, 2018
Google has updated its Access Checker feature, which lets you easily share a Drive file with someone. When you send an e-mail message that includes a reference to a Drive file, you will now have an opportunity to change the permission settings if a recipient doesn't have access to the file. Access Checker will show you the name and address of those that don't have access to the file. Access Checker also supports files in a Team Drive and will anticipate who needs access to a file and default to sharing the file with those specific recipients.
