AdBlocker Not Really Blocking Ads

October 6, 2015

The AdBlock Extension is intended to stop showing those annoying ads from online advertisers and is said to be installed on over 40 million users’ devices. I’ve been suspicious of AdBlock for some time, especially since we really don’t know who makes the decision as to what ads to block. Not to worry, the situation just got a lot more complicated. The AdBlock Extension has now been sold to an undisclosed buyer. Users are getting popup messages stating that the new owner is turning on Acceptable Ads. So much for blocking ads. I’m sure glad I never installed it and you may want to reconsider removing it if you have.
