Beware of Keyloggers

August 25, 2014

Will somebody please listen? We’ve given hundreds of CLEs where we warn the attendees about the dangers of using computers in public settings such as libraries, Internet cafes, business centers, etc. The reason? Studies have shown that these public computers are infected with at least seven different versions of malware.

Now Brian Krebs, noted security analyst, is issuing a warning about using computers in hotel business centers. I wouldn’t use ANY public computer and wouldn’t connect to the free WiFi either. I would recommend using your own computer and activating your own hot spot instead of potentially exposing your data to an infected hotel business center computer.
