Change Your E-Mail Password

September 11, 2014

Another day, another data breach. This time, it appears that that five million user IDs and passwords have been posted on the Internet. There is no need to panic yet, since it looks like the majority of the information is pretty old, but that is not the point. Just the fact that many login credentials have been posted on the Internet could be a huge problem, especially for the majority of users that don’t change their passwords or use the same login credentials on multiple websites.

Apple is probably thankful that the attention has moved from the iCloud hack to the release of millions of user IDS and passwords. Well, be thankful that it is only an e-mail address and password. No matter what, it is probably a good time to change your password if you haven’t done so in a bit. Enable two-factor authentication too if it is an option.
