Cloud Security Varies by Industry

More and more businesses are moving to the cloud for various business functions, but is the cloud safe for your industry? Research from CloudLock took a look at the security threats across eight industries. All of the industries shared the following concerns:

  1. Account compromise
  2. Cloud malware
  3. Excessive data exposure
  4. Over-exposed personally identifiable information (PII) and payment card information (PCI) Data
  5. Collaboration

Different industries vary in the amount of cloud data generated. The more cloud data, the more it needs to be protected. The first thing you should do to protect your data in the cloud is to secure your login credentials. That means using something other than 1234 as a password.
