Don’t Listen to Amazon: Security Software is a Requirement

September 21, 2016

Busted!! Say it isn't so. If you want to work for Amazon as a Seasonal Work-from-Home Customer Service Associate, there are some specific requirements in order to get the position. While there are some reasonable requirements like living in certain states; high school diploma or equivalent; basic typing, phone and computer navigation skills, some are unreasonable. Of course you will need a computer that is connected to the Internet. One requirement you should NOT listen to is where Amazon states:

"The following programs must be uninstalled to meet the computer requirements:

  • All 3rd Party Anti-virus programs such as McAfee, Norton, AVG, Kaspersky, Avast, Comcast Constant Guard"

Seriously? You can't have any security software installed? I guess the work at home software they give you must be a pretty nasty piece of malware that will be attacked by a 3rd party anti-virus program. I would suggest you look for a different work at home job.
