Gmail Confidential Mode Available on iOS and Android

August 20, 2018

It's all about sending secure communications. Google has rolled out its Confidential Mode for Gmail running on iOS and Android devices. You can now set when a Gmail message will expire. According to CNET, "The recipient won't be able to forward, copy, print or download a confidential message, but Google points out they can still take screenshots." The sender also has an option of sending a text message passcode to open the email message. We haven't done any testing in our lab yet, but it will be interesting to see if the new Gmail really is secure.
