How to Find Lost Word Documents in Windows 10

I don't have this problem, but I'm sure there are many that can't find a Word document that they have spent hours working on. Perhaps your computer shut down suddenly and you can't find the document despite Word's periodic auto-save function. Not to worry, CNET has published instructions to help you get back your document.

  1. Go to the Windows Start Menu using the Windows key on your keyboard.
  2. Click on File Explorer.
  3. Choose This PC in the left-hand menu.
  4. Type .asd into the search bar.
  5. Hit Enter on your keyboard.

Save the file as you normally would and you're back in business.
