How to Turn Off Autocomplete in Chrome
February 13, 2018
Autocomplete is everywhere. It happens by default in Word and Outlook. Many a misaddressed e-mail has been sent because of autocomplete. Autocomplete is also available in the Chrome browser. Today almost 70% of traffic is using the Google Chrome browser and most users don't know that you can turn off autocomplete for the URL address.
Select the three dots button and go to Settings. Select the Advanced option while in Settings. Turn off the "Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar" feature. Next clear the browser history by pressing <CTRL>+H and click on the "Clear Browser Data" option.
