LastPass Doubles Its Price as Users Revolt
August 7, 2017
The free version of the LastPass password manager is pretty good, but some opt for the additional features of the premium version. The Premium price used to be $12 a year, but now it costs $24 a year to pretty much get the same features as before. Previously, Premium users could share unlimited items through a Dropbox-type folder. That has changed to a different method described as "one-to-many sharing." Premium users are not happy. "This is how you thank longtime Premium subscription customers, by doubling the price?" LastPass has had its share of problems in the past. With the recent price increase, I would stick with the free version or jump over to eWallet, which is what I use.
