Stop Autoplaying Facebook Videos
February 22, 2017
One of the most annoying things that can happen while surfing the Internet are video files that automatically play when visiting a site's page. If you are a Facebook user, videos with sound automatically play and interrupt your quiet thoughts. Do it at work and you'll be embarrassed while the sound fills the office space. Frankly, it's pretty rude to have your space invaded with the playing of video or sound files. There is now a solution to the autoplay problem. Install the free Disable HTML5 Autoplay, a Chrome extension that will stop any HTML5 video from autoplaying. The extension works on Facebook, YouTube, and most other online videos. Let me determine what I want to see and hear and not some programmer trying to force content down my throat.
