I’m not sure “everyone” is paranoid or that “the whole world” is obsessed with end-to-end encryption (E2EE), but there certainly is a lot of buzz on this subject. John Simek provides a good reminder that there is a cost that comes with E2EE in Zoom: “you won’t have access to join before host, cloud recording, streaming, live transcription, Breakout Rooms, polling, 1:1 private chat, and meeting reactions.” For some of our users, those would be show stoppers.
