Raise Your Hand for the Zoom Update

Zoom has a ton of features. Using meeting reactions is one way to attract the attention of other participants. The Verge reports that physically raising your hand will now invoke the raise hand reaction. Zoom will also display a thumbs up emoji when you hold your thumb up to the webcam. Think of it as bringing facial recognition to a different level.

Users of Zoom on the iPad or iPhone have had this feature for some time. Desktop users can now join the fold, but you will have to make sure you have installed the latest version (5.10.3). There are other improvements with the latest version too such as the whiteboard. “Zoom’s trying to make it easier to manage breakout rooms and polls, and run large events on the platform a little more seamlessly too. Zoom is also continuing to roll out its chat etiquette tool, which automatically enforces corporate policies on communications.”
