President of Sensei Enterprises Inc., Sharon Nelson was recently quoted in an article in Law360 Magazine entitled “Law Firms’ Biggest Cybersecurity Liability: Senior Partners” by Sarah Martinson.
About Law 360: “Law360 Pulse combines the award-winning journalism and research of Law360 with powerful data and analytics from LexisNexis to deliver unparalleled business of law coverage, timely insights and the industry intelligence you need to stay on top of issues, safeguard your clients and stay ahead of the competition.”
Senior partners often represent law firms’ biggest and highest-profile clients and have access to sensitive intel, such as trade secrets and financial information, making them prime targets for data breaches, according to cybersecurity experts.
At the same time, some senior partners are unaware of potential cybersecurity risks, leaving themselves and their firms vulnerable, experts say.
Given that senior partners pose heightened security risks to their firms, they should be required to participate in cybersecurity awareness training to mitigate their liability, said Sharon Nelson, president of information technology support and cybersecurity solutions provider Sensei Enterprises Inc.
