American Bar Association Adds Sensei On-Demand Webinar

May 5, 2020

The American Bar Association has released a new webinar titled “Working Remotely and Securely: What Lawyers Need to Know in a time of COVID-19” by Sharon Nelson, John Simek, and Lucian Pera. The webinar will be free to all ABA members.

COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the practice of law from a law firm office to the dining room table. From hackers to Zoombombers, telecommuting full-time is a scary place. Get some reassuring advice and make your practice the safest it can be, for you and your clients.

More and more businesses, civic authorities and law firms have employees working from home. What does this mean for the practice of law? How do you meet with clients and respect your ethical obligations of confidentiality? Whilst a robust teleworking environment allows us to continue our work, you need to make sure you don’t expose your practice or your clients to the pitfalls presented by this new mode of work.

With decades of experience in the legal tech space, our panel will walk you through some of the common considerations you need to address: from the equipment you use and how it’s connected to the ways you now communicate, Sharon, John and Lucian have the best practices you need to keep your practice safe from the cyber ‘bad guys’ and keep you in compliance with your ethical responsibilities toward your clients.
