All Eligible Devices Can Get Windows 11

October 6, 2022

As reported by BleepingComputer, whether you want it or not, all eligible devices will be nagged to install Windows 11 22H2. The Microsoft Windows Health dashboard stated, “We are entering a new phase of the rollout for Windows 11, version 22H2 and we are increasing its availability to all who check for updates on eligible Windows devices.” If you don’t see the prominent option to upgrade to Windows 11, all you have to do is click the “Check for Updates” in the Windows Update Settings dialog.

Remember that the Windows 11 upgrade is free. By this time, you should not experience any major issues with application compatibilities. The biggest problem most users will experience are hardware incompatibilities to run Windows 11. You can run the PC Health Check app to see if your Windows 10 device is eligible for the Windows 11 upgrade. Unless you have a burning desire to upgrade to Windows 11, I would suggest you stay with Windows 10 and wait until you replace your computing device before moving to Windows 11.
