Apple Issues Fix for What it Broke

August 27, 2019

Apple devices are constantly being attacked. The major goal is to successfully jailbreak a device to gain access to the all sorts of functions of the operating system. Apple has done a good job in almost putting the jailbreak teams out of business, except for recent events. On May 13th, Apple released iOS 12.3 which fixed a vulnerability where "a malicious application may be able to execute arbitrary code with system privileges." When iOS 12.4 was released, it undid the patch and made devices susceptible to the attack. In other words, it broke what was fixed. Apple has just released iOS 12.4.1 to plug the hole again.

If you haven't done so already, make sure you install the update. Go to Settings, General, Software Update and tap Download and Install.
