End of Life in 2020 for Microsoft Products

January 6, 2020

The big news is the end of life for Windows 7 this month. That means no more support unless you have a specific type of license and pay Microsoft to get extended support patches. It's not just Windows 7 though. There are several other Microsoft products that will stop receiving updates this year. Bleeping Computer has a summarized list of the Microsoft products reaching end of life and the date they go out of support.

It will probably surprise a lot of people that there is a scheduled retirement date for specific versions of Windows 10. In other words, make sure you are running the latest version of Windows 10 and haven't suspended updates. The latest version of Windows 10 is the November 2019 Update version, which is designated as 1909. Go to Settings, System, About to see which version you are currently running. Previous version will go out of support in April, November or December of 2020.
