Get Rid of Meet and Chat from Gmail Sidebar

Not crazy about Google's Chat and Meet functions? Neither am I. I've had terrible experiences with Meet and the poor quality is particularly evident. I don't have any intention of using either Meet or Chat on a regular basis. Not to worry. It's pretty easy to remove the choices from the Gmail sidebar. How-To Geek has the simple steps to remove Chat and Meet from the side menu. Click the gear icon in the upper right to select Settings. In my case, clicking the gear icon jumps right to settings. If your system acts like mine, you'll have to click on the "See all settings" button at the top of the menu. Once in the settings area, click on the Chat and Meet tab. You will be able to turn off chat or hide the Meet section in the main menu. You can always turn them back on if you really need to.
