Get Rid of the Focused Inbox for Outlook

August 9, 2022

Several years ago, Microsoft implemented the “feature” of a focused Inbox for Outlook. The intent is to keep all of your important email messages in one place and put the other ones in a separate tab. The major problem with this approach is how “important” messages are determined. In my experience, the focused Inbox is essentially just another mailbox to check. If you are like me, you would much rather work with a single Inbox instead of jumping back and forth hoping not to miss something that really is important. How-To Geek has a post with instructions to disable the Focused Inbox feature. You can always turn it back on later if you change your mind.
