Gmail: Block Unwanted Email from Annoying People

August 31, 2021

We’ve all been there. It’s bad enough when bogus email gets through your spam filter, but many messages from unwanted users (especially marketing people) are specifically crafted to be generic enough to land in your Inbox. People you don’t know continue to hound you about services and products you are not interested in. Help is on the way. How-To Geek has a post with instructions on how to block specific senders if you are a Gmail user.

Open the unwanted message in the mobile app or from your computer using a browser. Select the three dot icon that’s in the same line as the sender’s name. Select “Block [name]” from the presented menu. Confirm your choice by clicking on the Block button. You do have the option to Unblock the sender if you change your mind at a later date.
