Group End-to-end Encrypted Video Calls on Signal
December 15, 2020
Signal has always been our go-to platform for secure communications. Many other vendors use the Signal technology as the basis for encrypted communications. Signal started as a text messaging app with end-to-end encryption. It now supports voice and video chat capabilities in addition to text messages. The Verge reported that Signal now provides end-to-end encrypted video calls for up to five participants. That's not as much as Zoom can do, but we believe it's enough for most normal video calls. Grid format is the default view for video calls, but you can change that to focus on individual speakers if you want. Update your Signal app and give it a try.
