HTTPS-Only Option Available with Firefox Update

November 18, 2020

The latest version of Firefox has an option to automatically change the website URL to HTTPS as reported by BleepingComputer. Frankly, your website should automatically force https connections for everything. If you are not running the latest version of Firefox (Mozilla Firefox 83), update your browser by going to Options -> Help -> About Firefox. The HTTPS-Only mode is not enabled by default, which is a shame. You enable the mode by going to Settings -> Privacy & Security. Scroll down to the bottom where the HTTPS-Only feature can be enabled for all windows or only private windows. If the visited website does not support HTTPS, you will get a message stating that a Secure Connection is Not Available. You always have the option to ignore the warning and continue to the site, but why would you?
