Recommendations for Portable Travel Monitor

April 26, 2022

How many monitors are enough? If you have ever used a multi-monitor computer, odds are you will never go back to a single screen. It’s fairly easy to justify the expense for multiple monitors for your office or home office setup. What about when you travel? Should you lug around a second monitor to connect to your laptop? Ars Technica has a post with recommendations for portable monitors.

The top pick is the Lenovo ThinkVision M14 for $269. The M14 is the only reviewed model that doesn’t have speakers, but that may not be a killer for you. The cheap alternative model is the Lepow C2S for $160. The Cadillac monitor is the Asus ROG Strix XG16AHP-W, which will set you back $450. That’s a lot of cash. There are other models that received notable mentions. If you are looking for a touch screen addition, the Lenovo ThinkVision M14d may just fit the bill. It is scheduled to be available in July for around $300. Not bad for a portable touch screen.
