Turn on Ransomware Protection in Windows Defender

Windows Defender security suite is included in Windows 10. Microsoft has updated Windows Defender to include protection for ransomware. However, it is not enabled by default. Tech Viral has the detailed instructions for enabling ransomware protection in Windows Defender. If you have some other security product installed, you may not get the choices that are shown in the post. Typically, installing a third-party security suite will disable the built-in Windows Defender. You will need to temporarily turn on Windows Defender to see the various configuration settings.
