If you are using a Netgear Wi-Fi router, now would be a good time to install the recently released update. BleepingComputer reports that Netgear has a firmware update to fix a high-severity vulnerability impacting many of its models. Netgear provided a list of impacted models and the version of firmware with the fix.

- If you do not see a drop-down menu, ensure you entered your model number correctly or select a product category to browse for your product model.
- Click Downloads.
- Under Current Versions, select the first download whose title begins with Firmware Version.
- Click Release Notes.
- Follow the instructions in the firmware release notes to download and install the new firmware.
