Use Windows 10 to Determine Unused RAM Slots
July 29, 2020
Most users have no clue if they can expand the memory in their computer. It's pretty easy to determine how much memory is in the machine, but is it an option to add another (or more) RAM modules? Tech Viral posted the method to determine how many unused RAM slots are in your computer without opening the case.
Just launch Task Manager and click on the Performance tab. Select Memory from the left side choices and down at the lower right will show how many RAM slots are in your computer and how many are being used. Obviously, you can't expand the amount of memory in your computer if all the slots are occupied. In that case, you'll have to check whether or not you can replace the current modules with larger sized ones.
