April 25, 2023

We tend not to be concerned about the available space for our storage devices until there is very little left. We take pictures endlessly until we get a warning that our phone storage is getting full. Our computer pops a warning when the available space gets below a certain threshold. What can we do when your gets starts to get full? Having an inside view as to what’s taking up the storage space would be helpful.

How-To Geek has a post talking about four free tools to analyze hard drive space. “These tools are different from disk cleaning applications, which automatically remove temporary and cache files. The post discusses:

Once you run the utility, you can decide which applications to uninstall and/or which files/folders to delete. If you decide to uninstall applications, check the installation folders to see if any data is left behind after the uninstall process.
