Working From Home? Upgrade to Windows 10 Professional

There are still a lot of people working from home and using their home computers instead of work machines. The unfortunate thing is that those home machines are probably running Windows 10 Home. Imagine that? Using a home version of an operating system on a home computer doesn't sound very unreasonable. However, if that home machine is now being used to access company systems and data, it should be running a more secure operating system. It is a very simple process to upgrade your Home version to Windows 10 Professional and PCWorld has a post to help you out.

You can upgrade to the Professional version for $89.99. As the post states, "The Professional version of Windows 10 includes numerous features and options not found in the Home edition—and unsurprisingly they are hugely beneficial for people working from home." The remote desktop feature can help with remote management. Group Policies can help your IT administrators control more of the operating system. Windows 10 Professional also includes BitLocker, the built-in encryption software to protect your system. Bottom line…the upgrade is a very cost effective alternative and a must-have to up your security game.
